      • Enzymatic Synthesis and Characterization of Novel Amphiphilic Triblock Copolymer Poly(p-dioxanone-co

        Novel amphiphilic triblock copolymer poly(p-dioxanone-co-5-benzyloxytrimethylene carbonate)-block-poly(ethylene glycol)-block-poly(p-dioxanone-co-5-benzyloxytrimethylene carbonate) (p(PDO-co-BTMC)-b-PEG-b-p(PDO-co-BTMC)) was successfully synthesized using immobilized porcine pancreas lipase on porous silica particles (IPPL) as the catalyst for the first time. 1H NMR, 13C NMR and GPC analysis were used to confirm the structures of resulting copolymers. The molecular weight (Mn) of the copolymer with feed ratio of 69:20:11 (BTMC:PDO: PEG ) was 31300 g/mol and the polydispersity was 1.85, while the Mn decreased to 25000 g/mol and polydispersity of 1.93 with the feed ratio of 50:40:10....

      • A novel cell-impermeable fluorescent zinc sensor containing poly(ethylene glycol) chain

        A novel cell-impermeable zinc sensor was synthesized by incorporating poly(ethylene glycol) (PEG) to N-(8-quinolyl)-p-aminobenzenesulfonamide (HQAS) group. The polymeric zinc sensor combines both valuable features of HQAS and PEG. The HQAS of the sensor has the similar functions to TSQ, and exhibits a good fluorescence response to Zn2+ but poor fluorescence responses to other metal ions. The PEG chain can prevent the sensor to permeate healthy cell membrane. The stained experiments with the yeast cells as model showed that the sensor cannot stain the healthy yeast cells, but only the damaged or died yeast cells. These results indicated the novel zinc probe was a typical cell-impermeable zinc sensor....

      • Effect of addition of poly(ethylene glycol) on electrical conductivity of poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythio

        By mixing various concentrations of poly (ethylene glycol), a series of poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene)- poly(styrenesulfonate) composite thin films were prepared. The electrical conductivity of the PEDOT-PSS/PEG thin films was measured by the four-probe method. Experimental results showed that the inclusion of poly(ethylene glycol) influenced the electrical conductivity of PEDOT-PSS film significantly. With the increase of PEG concentrations, the electrical conductivity sharply increased to reach a maximum and then slowly decreased down. Furthermore, the PEG molecular weight and environment temperature also played important roles on the electrical conductivity of PEDOT-PSS/PEG thin films. A good linear relationship was found between ln -DC and T -1/2 within the entire temperature range detected....

      • SURFACE MODIFICATION OF BLEND FILMS COMPOSED OF SILK FIBROIN AND POLY(ETHYLENE GLYCOL) MACROMER AND

        In order to improve the blood compatibility of silk fibroin (SF), poly(ethylene glycol) macromer (PEGM) in different amounts was added to the SF film to incorporate C=C group into the surface of blend films which were then modified by SO2 gas plasma treatment. ATR-FITR and XPS were used to analyze the chemical change which had occurred on the film's surface. When the content of sulfur on the surface of blend films surpasses 1.59%, the antithrombogenicity of plasma treated films increases remarkably due to surface sulfonation. This result implies that SF with blend of PEGM after SO2 plasma treatment have potential use for making blood-contacting biomaterials....

      • THE STRUCTURE AND PROPERTIES OF CHITOSAN/PPLYETHYLENE GLYCOL/SILICA TERNARY HYBRID ORGANIC-NORGANIC

        The ternary hybrid films consisting of chitosan(CS),polyethylene glycol(PEG)and nano-sized silica which was surface-modified by amino groups(RNSA)were prepared.The structures of the blend membranes were characterized by attenuation total reflection-infrared spectroscopy(ATR-IR),X-ray diffraction(XRD),optical microscopy(OM)and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC).The results showed that the addition of silica affected not only the distribution and crystallinity of PEG on the sample surface.but also the phase coarseness and the crystalline structure of chitosan in the blend system.Moreover,PEG changed the crystalline structure of chitosan.Upon annealing(at 100℃ for 1 h),the blends would show the altered crystalline structure of chitosan,the reinforced phase coarseness.as well as the decreased miscibility and interaction between chitosan and PEG....

      • PROPERTIES OF SILK FIBROIN/POLY(ETHYLENE GLYCOL)400 BLEND FILMS

        The blend film of silk fibroin (SF) and poly(ethylene glycol)400 (PEG400) with a blend ratio of 2/1 (wt/wt) was prepared simply by dropping a little PEG400 into the SF solution and then casting the mixed aqueous solution at 50℃. The resulting film exhibited much better mechanical properties in the dry and wet state than SF itself, owing to the conformational change of SF in the blends from the random coil to the β-sheet structure and intermolecular hydrogen bond formation between SF and PEG400. Thermogravimetric analysis showed that the initial thermal decomposition temperature of the blend film was 170C, which was 80℃ lower than that of SF (250℃) and 20℃ higher than that of PEG400 (150℃),and indicated a strong interaction between two components of the blend. No crystalline peaks were observed in the X-ray diffraction curve of the blend film. Cell culture test showed that SF/PEG400 was a suitable substrate for the growth of human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVEC)....

        采用羧基封端乳酸預聚物與聚乙二醇熔融縮聚合成了聚乳酸-聚乙二醇共聚物,并用GPC、FTIR、1H-NMR等方法表征了預聚物與共聚物,結果表明,預聚物的羧基封端率高于95%,預聚物的相對分子質量可由投料比(物質的量比)控制.熱分析結果表明,共聚物中聚乳酸鏈段呈無規分布,而聚乙二醇鏈段能夠形成結晶微區.力學性能測試結果表明,共聚物的斷裂伸長率達371%,有望在聚乳酸韌性改性方面得到應用....
